Course Duration

The ITSSAR Forklift Instructor Training Course typically runs for 10 to 12 days, depending on the individual’s prior experience and proficiency.

Course Requirements

To apply for the ITSSAR Forklift Instructor Training Course, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:


Experience: At least 6 months of experience operating a counterbalance forklift.


Certification: Proof of completion of the Counterbalance Basic Operating Skills Test within the last 12 months.


Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with trainees, demonstrating strong leadership and instructional qualities.

Course Requirements

Candidates will be assessed through a examination process that includes:


Associated Knowledge Test: A multiple-choice theory paper requiring a minimum score of 80% to pass.


Practical Instructional Ability: A 40-minute practical session in which the candidate must demonstrate their ability to instruct and assess trainees. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.


Basic Operating Skills Test: A test conducted on a counterbalance lift truck, which includes the Operator Testand the Pre-Use Inspection Test.


Upon successful completion of all assessments, candidates will be awarded an ITSSAR-recognised Forklift Instructor Certification.
