Counterbalance Forklift Training Overview
Our RTITB & ITSSAR accredited Counterbalance Forklift Training course for novice operators delivers a minimum of 32.5 hours of instruction. This comprehensive course is designed for up to three delegates and equips participants with the necessary skills to operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently, conduct pre-use inspections, and understand the causes of truck and load instability.
This course is specifically tailored for operators with little or no prior experience in using a counterbalance forklift truck. It complies with the standards set forth in the HSE Code of Practice L117, and successful participants will be qualified to operate any counterbalance forklift with a lifting capacity of up to 5000 kg (subject to authorisation) throughout the UK.
The Novice Counterbalance Forklift Training course consists of classroom lectures, DVD presentations, written assessments, practical training, and assessments. The full course spans five days for beginners, while a one-day Refresher Course is available for those with prior formal training who wish to renew their counterbalance forklift license.
Course Duration (for up to 3 Participants)
- Novice Candidate: 32.5 hours
- Experienced but Untrained Candidate: 19.5 hours
- Refresher (Recommended every 3 years): 6.5 hours
- Conversion Candidate: 13 hours
- 3:1:1 (3 trainees : 1 instructor : 1 forklift truck)
